Fuyu Kyrgyz people

The Fuyu Kyrgyz are a small ethnic group primarily residing in the Fuyu County, located in the Heilongjiang Province of China. They are one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China.

The Fuyu Kyrgyz are believed to be descendants of the ancient Kyrgyz people who migrated from the Tian Shan mountains to the northeastern China region. Their migration is thought to have occurred during the Mongol Empire's expansion in the 13th century.

The Fuyu Kyrgyz speak a dialect of the Kyrgyz language, which belongs to the Turkic language family. However, due to their geographical location and historical interactions, many Fuyu Kyrgyz are also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
