- Garden City South is a hamlet located in the town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York. It is a part of the larger Garden City, which is a village in the town of Hempstead. Garden City South is known for its quiet, suburban atmosphere and its close proximity to New York City.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Garden City South is located at 40°42′31″N 73°39′16″W. It is bordered by the villages of Garden City and West Hempstead. The hamlet is primarily residential, with a small commercial district located along Nassau Boulevard.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
- As of the 2010 census, Garden City South had a population of 3,682. The racial makeup of the hamlet was 92.7% White, 1.3% African American, 0.1% Native American, 3.1% Asian, 1.1% from other races, and 1.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.7% of the population.
