- Goodland, Kansas is a city located in Sherman County, Kansas, in the United States. It is the county seat of Sherman County. Goodland is situated in the High Plains of Kansas, approximately 17 miles east of the Colorado state line.

- Goodland was established in 1887 during the period of rapid agricultural development in the western United States. The city was named after Goodland, Indiana, the hometown of one of its founders.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Goodland is located at the intersection of Interstate 70 and Kansas State Highway 27. The city is approximately 176 miles east of Denver, Colorado, and 265 miles west of Kansas City, Kansas.

- As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 4,489. The city has a diverse economy with agriculture, education, and healthcare being major sectors.
