(greef THAYR-uh-pee) is a type of psychology / mental health treatment that helps a person work through grief that involves greater than normal reaction to a loss, such as the death of a loved one.

Consequences of excessive grief[edit | edit source]

Signs of excessive grief or reaction to the loss may include behavioral and physical problems, extreme mourning, and being unable to separate emotionally from the person who died.

Types of grief therapy[edit | edit source]

Grief therapy may be individual or group therapy.
