Haematologica is a monthly, peer-reviewed, medical journal that covers research in the field of hematology. The journal was established in 1920 and is published by the Ferrata Storti Foundation. It is the official journal of the European Hematology Association.

Haematologica was established in 1920. The journal is published by the Ferrata Storti Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of medical science, particularly in the field of hematology. The foundation was named after two prominent Italian hematologists, Adolfo Ferrata and Giuseppe Storti.

Scope[edit | edit source]

The journal covers all aspects of hematology, including disorders of leukocytes, both benign and malignant, erythrocytes, platelets, hemostatic mechanisms, vascular biology, immunology, and hematologic oncology. It also publishes articles on the study of hematopoietic stem cells, both in the laboratory and in the clinic.

The journal is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, MEDLINE, Scopus, and the Science Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 9.371.
