Hal Blumenfeld is an American neurologist and neuroscientist known for his research in epilepsy and consciousness. He is a professor at Yale University in the departments of Neurology, Neuroscience, and Neurosurgery.

Blumenfeld received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his medical degree from Columbia University. He completed his residency in neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in epilepsy at Yale University.
Research[edit | edit source]
Blumenfeld's research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of epileptic seizures and their effects on consciousness. He has developed techniques to study the brain during seizures using functional MRI and EEG. His work has contributed to the understanding of how seizures disrupt normal brain function and consciousness.
