Halsey, born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane on September 29, 1994, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She gained prominence in the music industry with her debut studio album, Badlands, released in 2015. Known for her distinctive voice and genre-blending style, Halsey has become a prominent figure in pop music.

Halsey was born in Edison, New Jersey and raised in Washington, New Jersey. She began songwriting at a young age and eventually dropped out of college to pursue a career in music.
