Hayley Turner (born 3 January 1983) is a prominent British jockey who has made significant contributions to the field of horse racing. She is widely recognized for her achievements and has broken several barriers in a traditionally male-dominated sport.

Hayley Turner was born in Nottingham, England. She developed an interest in horse racing at a young age and began riding horses as a child. Her passion for the sport led her to pursue a career as a professional jockey.

Turner began her professional career in 2000, and she quickly rose through the ranks. She became the first female jockey to ride 100 UK flat race winners during a calendar year in 2008. This milestone was a significant achievement and brought her widespread recognition.

In 2011, Turner made history again by becoming the first female jockey to win a British Group 1 race outright, riding Dream Ahead to victory in the July Cup at Newmarket Racecourse. She followed this up with another Group 1 win on Margot Did in the Nunthorpe Stakes at York Racecourse.
