Hedyotis diffusa
Hedyotis diffusa is a species of plant in the family Rubiaceae. It is native to East Asia and is commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine. The plant is also known as Oldenlandia diffusa or Snake-needle grass.

Hedyotis diffusa is a perennial herb that grows up to 30 cm tall. The plant has slender, creeping stems and small, white flowers. The leaves are opposite, lanceolate, and about 1 cm long. The fruit is a small capsule containing several seeds.
Distribution and habitat[edit | edit source]
Hedyotis diffusa is native to East Asia, including China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. It grows in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, open forests, and along roadsides.
