- Helena Valley Northwest is located at 46°42′18″N 112°2′9″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 24.0 square miles (62 km2), all land.

- As of the census of 2010, there were 3,482 people, 1,275 households, and 1,002 families residing in the CDP.
