Hemendranath Tagore
Hemendranath Tagore (1844–1884) was a prominent member of the Tagore family, a distinguished family in Bengal known for its significant contributions to Bengali literature, music, art, and the Bengal Renaissance. He was the third son of Debendranath Tagore and the elder brother of the renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore.

Hemendranath was born in Jorasanko Thakur Bari, the ancestral home of the Tagore family in Kolkata. He was educated at home by private tutors and later attended the Hindu School in Kolkata.
