Hermann of Reichenau, also known as Hermannus Contractus, was a German scholar, composer, mathematician, and astronomer. He was born in 1013 in the town of Altshausen in Swabia, Germany. Despite being physically disabled and unable to walk or speak properly, Hermann made significant contributions to various fields during the medieval period.
