Hite Brewery was established in 1933 under the name Chosun Breweries. The company underwent several name changes and rebranding efforts over the years. In 1998, Hite Brewery acquired Jinro, a leading soju manufacturer, and the company was renamed HiteJinro Co., Ltd. This acquisition allowed Hite Brewery to diversify its product offerings and expand its market presence.
