- Holt is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, United States. It is part of the Tuscaloosa Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community is named after Holt High School, which is named in honor of Captain Benjamin Holt, the inventor of the first practical track-type tractor.

- Holt is located at 33°14′2″N 87°29′2″W (33.233784, -87.483870). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.3 square miles (29 km2), of which 11.0 square miles (28 km2) is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 km2) (2.65%) is water.

- As of the census of 2000, there were 3,638 people, 1,507 households, and 1,002 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 330.9 people per square mile (127.8/km²).
