- Holton is a city in Jackson County, Kansas, United States. It is the county seat of Jackson County. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 3,329. Holton is known for its rich history, small-town charm, and community spirit.

- Holton was platted in 1856 and named for Edward Dwight Holton, a Milwaukee railroad and real estate magnate. The city was incorporated in 1871.
