The Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale (INSERM) is a French public research organization dedicated to human health. Founded in 1964, INSERM is the only public research institution in France entirely focused on human health and medical research. It operates under the joint authority of the French Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Research.
