Infante Francisco Javier of Spain

Infante Francisco Javier of Spain was a member of the Spanish royal family. He was born on May 15, 1784, in the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, Spain. Francisco Javier was the fourth son of King Charles IV of Spain and Queen Maria Luisa of Parma.

Francisco Javier was known for his interest in the arts and sciences. He received a comprehensive education, studying subjects such as literature, history, and mathematics. He also had a passion for music and was a talented pianist.

In 1802, Francisco Javier married Princess Maria Teresa of Portugal, with whom he had several children. The couple's marriage was seen as a strategic alliance between the Spanish and Portuguese royal families.

Throughout his life, Francisco Javier held various titles and positions within the Spanish court. He was appointed as the Grand Master of the Order of Alcántara and served as the Governor of the Royal Alcazar of Seville.

Despite his royal status, Francisco Javier was known for his humility and kindness towards his subjects. He was beloved by the Spanish people for his charitable works and dedication to improving the lives of the less fortunate.

Infante Francisco Javier of Spain passed away on September 30, 1806, at the age of 22. His death was mourned by the Spanish court and the general population, who remembered him as a compassionate and enlightened prince.
