Invention is the creation of a product or introduction of a process for the first time. It is an act of intellectual creativity undertaken by an individual or a group of individuals resulting in the creation of something new that did not exist before. Inventions can be tangible products or intangible processes and are often patented to protect the rights of the inventor.

An invention is a unique or novel device, method, composition or process. It may be an improvement upon a machine or product, or a new process for creating an object or a result. An invention that achieves a completely unique function or result may be a radical breakthrough. Such inventions are often protected by a patent.

  • Idea Generation - This is the initial stage where the inventor comes up with the idea for the invention.
  • Research - The inventor conducts research to determine if the idea is feasible and if it has already been invented.
  • Development - The inventor develops a prototype or model of the invention.
  • Testing - The invention is tested to ensure it works as intended.
  • Patenting - The inventor applies for a patent to protect the invention.

In the field of medicine, inventions can take many forms, including new medical devices, drugs, procedures, and treatments. These inventions have the potential to significantly improve patient care and health outcomes. Some notable medical inventions include the stethoscope, X-ray machine, and antibiotics.
