Isocyanates are a family of highly reactive, low molecular weight chemicals. They are widely used in the manufacture of foams, fibers, insulation, paints, and elastomers. Isocyanates react with compounds containing alcohol (hydroxyl) groups to form polyurethanes, a class of polymers essential to many industrial applications. The most common types of isocyanates are methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI), toluene diisocyanate (TDI), and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI).

These alternatives aim to provide sustainable options for industries reliant on isocyanate-based products.
