Born in Zagreb, Turina began his career with local club Dinamo Zagreb, where he came through the youth ranks before making his first-team debut. Despite showing promise in his early career, Turina struggled to secure a permanent spot as Dinamo's first-choice goalkeeper, leading to several loan spells at other clubs.
