Ivan Turina
Ivan Turina (3 October 1980 – 2 May 2013) was a Croatian professional football player who played as a goalkeeper. Born in Zagreb, Turina began his career with local club Dinamo Zagreb, where he came through the youth ranks before making his first-team debut. Despite showing promise in his early career, Turina struggled to secure a permanent spot as Dinamo's first-choice goalkeeper, leading to several loan spells at other clubs.
Club Career[edit | edit source]
Turina's professional career started at Dinamo Zagreb, where he was initially part of the youth setup before being promoted to the first team. During his time at Dinamo, he was loaned out to several clubs, including NK Zagreb and Inter Zaprešić, to gain more playing time and experience. In 2006, Turina made a move abroad to play for Lech Poznań in Poland, where he enjoyed a successful spell, becoming a fan favorite for his performances.
In 2009, Turina signed with AIK Fotboll in Sweden. At AIK, he quickly established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper and played a crucial role in the team's 2009 Allsvenskan championship win and their success in the Svenska Cupen. Turina's time at AIK was marked by his reliability, shot-stopping ability, and leadership on the field.

While Turina was a regular feature in Croatia's youth national teams, his senior international appearances were limited. He represented Croatia at various youth levels, including the U-21 team, but did not make an appearance for the senior national team.
