Ivar's is a popular seafood restaurant chain based in Seattle, Washington. The chain was founded by Ivar Haglund, a folk singer and restaurateur, in 1938. Ivar's has become a landmark in the Pacific Northwest, known for its fish and chips and clam chowder.

Ivar's was established by Ivar Haglund in 1938. Haglund was a well-known folk singer in the Seattle area who decided to open a fish and chips stand on Seattle's waterfront. The stand quickly grew in popularity, leading Haglund to expand into a full-service restaurant, Ivar's Acres of Clams, in 1946.

Ivar's operates three full-service restaurants: Ivar's Acres of Clams, Ivar's Salmon House, and Ivar's Mukilteo Landing. In addition to these, the company also runs a number of quick-service seafood bars in the Seattle area and throughout Washington state.
