J. Christopher Reyes
J. Christopher Reyes is an American businessman and co-chairman of Reyes Holdings, a global leader in the distribution of food and beverages. Reyes Holdings is one of the largest privately held companies in the United States.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
J. Christopher Reyes was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Bethesda, Maryland. He attended Georgetown Preparatory School and later graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in business administration.
Career[edit | edit source]
In 1976, J. Christopher Reyes and his brother, Jude Reyes, purchased a small beer distribution business in South Carolina. Over the years, they expanded the business significantly, acquiring numerous other distribution companies. This expansion led to the formation of Reyes Holdings in 1992.
Reyes Holdings operates through several divisions, including Reyes Beverage Group, Martin-Brower, and Reinhart Foodservice. The company distributes a wide range of products, including beer, food, and other beverages, to various markets across the globe.
Philanthropy[edit | edit source]
J. Christopher Reyes is known for his philanthropic efforts. He and his family have donated to numerous causes, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and community development. The Reyes family has supported institutions such as the University of Maryland, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
