JDTic
JDTic is a research chemical which is used in scientific studies. It acts as a selective antagonist for the κ-opioid receptor, and has been used to develop a variety of derivatives with improved potency and selectivity.
Chemistry[edit | edit source]
JDTic is a derivative of the opioid antagonist norbinaltorphimine. It is structurally similar to other κ-opioid receptor antagonists such as norbinaltorphimine and 5'-GNTI, but has a different substitution pattern on the tetrahydroisoquinoline ring, which results in significantly increased potency and selectivity for the κ-opioid receptor.
Pharmacology[edit | edit source]
JDTic acts as a selective antagonist for the κ-opioid receptor, with a Ki value of 0.006 nM, making it one of the most potent κ-opioid receptor antagonists known. It has been shown to block the effects of κ-opioid receptor agonists in animal studies, and has been used to develop a variety of derivatives with improved potency and selectivity.
Research[edit | edit source]
JDTic has been used in scientific research to study the role of the κ-opioid receptor in various physiological and pathological processes. It has been used to investigate the role of the κ-opioid receptor in pain, depression, anxiety, addiction, and other conditions.
