John Michael McDonagh (born 1967) is a British-Irish screenwriter and film director. He is best known for his work on the films The Guard (2011) and Calvary (2014). McDonagh's films often explore themes of morality, religion, and the human condition, and are noted for their dark humor and sharp dialogue.
