Jordan Field
Jordan Field is a multi-purpose stadium located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is primarily used for soccer and serves as the training ground for Toronto FC, a professional soccer team that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS). The stadium is situated within the BMO Training Ground and Academy, which is the official training facility for Toronto FC.
History[edit | edit source]
Jordan Field was opened in 2012 as part of the BMO Training Ground and Academy. The facility was developed to provide Toronto FC with a state-of-the-art training environment and to support the development of young soccer talent in the region. The construction of the training ground was a significant investment by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, the owners of Toronto FC.
Facilities[edit | edit source]
Jordan Field features a high-quality natural grass playing surface, which is maintained to professional standards. The stadium has seating for approximately 1,000 spectators, making it suitable for smaller matches and training sessions. In addition to the main field, the BMO Training Ground and Academy includes several other training pitches, both natural and artificial, as well as indoor training facilities.
Usage[edit | edit source]
While Jordan Field is primarily used by Toronto FC for training purposes, it also hosts matches for the Toronto FC Academy teams and other local soccer events. The facility is an important part of the club's infrastructure, providing a dedicated space for player development and team preparation.
Location[edit | edit source]
Jordan Field is located in the Downsview area of Toronto, within the larger Downsview Park complex. The park is a significant recreational area in the city, offering various sports and leisure activities.
