Joseph Gallup Cochran

Joseph Gallup Cochran (born March 15, 1965) is an American physician and researcher known for his significant contributions to the field of neurology. He is currently a professor at the Department of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and serves as the Director of the Neurology Research Center at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Cochran was born on March 15, 1965, in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University where he majored in Biology. He went on to pursue his medical degree at Harvard Medical School.

Career[edit | edit source]

After completing his medical training, Cochran joined the faculty at Harvard Medical School as a neurologist. He has conducted extensive research in the field of neuroscience with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and has been widely cited in the scientific community.

Cochran is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. He has received several awards for his contributions to medical education and research.
