Joseph Ladapo
Joseph A. Ladapo is an American physician and health policy researcher. He is currently serving as the Surgeon General of Florida. Ladapo is known for his views on public health policies, particularly those related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joseph Ladapo was born in Nigeria and immigrated to the United States at a young age. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. He then attended Harvard Medical School, where he received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Ladapo also holds a Ph.D. in Health Policy from Harvard University.

Ladapo began his medical career as a resident physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He later joined the faculty at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he conducted research on health policy and the impact of public health interventions.
