Josh Clayton-Felt (February 18, 1967 – January 19, 2000) was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was best known as a member of the alternative rock band School of Fish.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Josh Clayton-Felt was born on February 18, 1967, in Boston, Massachusetts. He developed a passion for music at a young age and began playing the guitar in his teenage years.
Career[edit | edit source]
Clayton-Felt gained recognition in the music industry as a founding member of the band School of Fish in the late 1980s. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1991, which included the hit single "3 Strange Days."
After the disbandment of School of Fish, Clayton-Felt pursued a solo career and released his debut solo album, Inarticulate Nature Boy, in 1996. He continued to write and record music, showcasing his introspective songwriting style and distinctive vocals.
Personal Life and Legacy[edit | edit source]
Tragically, Josh Clayton-Felt passed away on January 19, 2000, at the age of 32 due to testicular cancer. His untimely death was a loss to the music community, but his music continues to inspire fans and fellow musicians.
Clayton-Felt's legacy lives on through his contributions to alternative rock music and his poignant songwriting. He is remembered for his emotive performances and heartfelt lyrics that resonate with listeners.
