Josh Green (politician)
Josh Green is an American politician and physician who has served as the Governor of Hawaii since 2022. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Josh Green was born on February 11, 1970, in Kingston, New York. He attended Swarthmore College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. He later received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Penn State College of Medicine.
Medical Career[edit | edit source]
Before entering politics, Green worked as an emergency room physician. He practiced medicine in rural areas of Hawaii, providing healthcare services to underserved communities. His medical background has significantly influenced his political career, particularly in the areas of healthcare policy and public health.

Green began his political career in the Hawaii State Legislature. He was first elected to the Hawaii House of Representatives in 2004, representing the 6th district.
