Journal of Orthodontics is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes research in the field of orthodontics. The journal's editor is Dr. Martyn Cobourne, a professor of orthodontics at King's College London. The Journal of Orthodontics is published by Taylor & Francis on behalf of the British Orthodontic Society.

The Journal of Orthodontics was established in 1974 as the British Journal of Orthodontics. In 2000, the journal changed its name to the Journal of Orthodontics. The journal is published quarterly and is available in both print and online formats.

Scope[edit | edit source]

The Journal of Orthodontics publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports, and clinical studies in all areas of orthodontics. The journal's scope includes, but is not limited to, the following topics: Orthodontic treatment, Orthodontic appliances, Craniofacial growth and development, Cleft lip and palate, Dental occlusion, and Orthognathic surgery.

The Journal of Orthodontics is abstracted and indexed in Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 1.113.
