Kōji Wada (和田 光司, Wada Kōji, January 29, 1974 – April 3, 2016) was a Japanese singer known for his work on the soundtrack for the Digimon series, a popular franchise that includes television series, movies, video games, and trading card games. Wada's music was a defining feature of the Digimon franchise, contributing significantly to its atmosphere and popularity.

Kōji Wada was born in Kyotango, Kyoto, Japan. From a young age, he showed a keen interest in music, which led him to pursue a career in singing. Despite facing challenges early in his career, including a battle with cancer, Wada's passion for music remained undeterred.

Wada's career took off when he performed "Butter-Fly," the opening theme for the original Digimon Adventure series in 1999. Following the success of "Butter-Fly," Wada went on to perform several other songs for the Digimon franchise, including "Brave Heart," the evolution theme for Digimon Adventure, and "The Biggest Dreamer," the opening theme for Digimon Tamers.
