Killaloe, Ontario
Killaloe, Ontario is a small village located in Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada. It is situated in the township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards and is part of the Ottawa Valley region.

The village of Killaloe was established in the late 19th century, during the logging boom in the Ottawa Valley. The area was originally inhabited by the Algonquin people, who used the numerous waterways for transportation and fishing. The name "Killaloe" is derived from Killaloe, County Clare, a town in Ireland, reflecting the Irish heritage of many of the early settlers.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Killaloe is located in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, surrounded by a landscape of forests, hills, and lakes. The village is situated on the shores of Golden Lake and the Bonnechere River, which provide opportunities for boating, fishing, and other water-based activities. The area is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, moose, and numerous bird species.

The economy of Killaloe is primarily based on tourism, agriculture, and small businesses.
