King's Hawaiian
King's Hawaiian is a Torrance, California-based family-owned and operated bakery, known for its original recipe Hawaiian sweet bread. It was founded by Robert R. Taira, in Hilo, Hawaii, in the late 1950s.

Robert R. Taira was a Hawaiian of Japanese descent, who graduated top of his baking class. He initially established Robert's Bakery in Hilo, Hawaii in 1950. In 1958, he developed a unique recipe for sweet, soft and fluffy bread, now known as the Hawaiian sweet bread. This bread quickly gained popularity, prompting him to open a larger bakery, which he named King's Bakery.
In 1977, the business was moved to Torrance, California, where it was renamed King's Hawaiian. The company has since expanded its operations and now distributes its products nationwide.

King's Hawaiian is best known for its original Hawaiian sweet bread. This bread is characterized by a light, fluffy texture and a sweet flavor. It is often used in a variety of dishes, including sliders, French toast, and stuffing.
In addition to the original Hawaiian sweet bread, King's Hawaiian also produces other bakery products, such as rolls, hamburger buns, hot dog buns, and sandwich bread. They also have a line of BBQ sauces in various flavors.
