Kitovu Hospital

Kitovu Hospital is a hospital located in Masaka, Uganda. It is a private, not-for-profit institution that provides a range of medical services to the local community and surrounding areas.

Kitovu Hospital was established in 1955 by the Medical Missionaries of Mary, an international congregation of women religious, founded by Mother Mary Martin in Nigeria, in 1937. The hospital was built with the aim of providing quality healthcare services to the people of Masaka and its environs.

Kitovu Hospital offers a wide range of medical services. These include General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Orthopaedics. The hospital also has a well-equipped laboratory for diagnostic services and a pharmacy that provides essential medicines.

In addition to these, Kitovu Hospital runs several specialized programs. These include a HIV/AIDS care program, a Malaria prevention program, and a Maternal Health program. The hospital is also involved in community outreach programs aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of the local population.

The hospital infrastructure includes wards for men, women, and children, an operating theatre, a maternity ward, and outpatient departments. It also has staff accommodation facilities and a chapel.
