Knife

A knife is a tool with a cutting edge or blade, often attached to a handle or hilt. One of the earliest tools used by humanity, knives appeared at least 2.5 million years ago, as evidenced by the Oldowan tools.

History

Originally made of rock, bone, flint, and obsidian, knives have evolved in construction as technology has, with blades being made from bronze, copper, iron, steel, ceramics, and titanium.

Types of Knives

There are many types of knives including but not limited to the Butterfly knife, Bowie knife, Pocketknife, Switchblade, and Machete. Each knife has a specific use and is designed to perform specific tasks.
