Korea University is a private research university located in Seoul, South Korea. Established in 1905, it is one of the nation's oldest and most prominent institutions of higher education. Korea University is part of the SKY universities, a term used to refer to the three most prestigious universities in South Korea, along with Seoul National University and Yonsei University.

Korea University was founded in 1905 as Bosung College by Lee Yong-Ik, Treasurer of the Royal Household.
