Labor rights or workers' rights are a group of legal rights and claimed human rights having to do with the labor relations between workers and their employers, usually obtained under labor law and employment standards. These rights are codified in national and international labor and employment legislation, conventions, and agreements. Labor rights include, but are not limited to, the right to collective bargaining, protection from discrimination, child labor laws, and the right to a safe and healthy work environment.

The history of labor rights dates back to the Industrial Revolution, when the need for regulations to protect workers from harsh working conditions became evident. This period saw the rise of the labor movement, which advocated for better wages, reasonable hours, and safer working conditions. The first labor laws were introduced in the 19th century, starting in the United Kingdom with the Factory Acts.

Labor rights revolve around several key principles:
