Lajas, Puerto Rico is a municipality located on the southwestern coast of Puerto Rico. Established in 1883, Lajas is known for its scenic landscapes, agricultural heritage, and the famous bioluminescent Mosquito Bay. The town is often referred to as "La Cuidad Cardenalicia" (The Cardinal City) due to its rich religious history and the cardinal red color that adorns many of its buildings.
