Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) is a premier institution in India dedicated to the field of physical education and sports science. It is located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and was established in 1957. The institute is named after Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, a prominent figure in the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

LNIPE was established by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India to promote physical education and sports in the country. The institute was initially affiliated with Vikram University, Ujjain, and later with Jiwaji University, Gwalior. In 1995, it was granted the status of a Deemed university by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
