Lavandula officinalis
Lavandula officinalis, also known as True Lavender or Common Lavender, is a species of flowering plant in the mint family, Lamiaceae. It is native to the Mediterranean region and is widely cultivated for its essential oil.

Lavandula officinalis is a small shrub that typically grows to a height of 1 to 2 meters. Its leaves are evergreen, 2–6 centimeters long, and grayish green in color. The flowers are pinkish-purple, produced on spikes at the top of slender, leafless stems 10–30 cm long.

Lavandula officinalis is widely cultivated for its essential oil, which is used in perfumery and aromatherapy.
