Leone Sextus Tollemache
Leone Sextus Denys Oswolf Fraudatifilius Tollemache, 5th Baron Tollemache, was born on 1 January 1884 and died on 3 January 1917. He was a British peer and soldier who served during World War I. Tollemache was the son of Wilbraham Tollemache, 2nd Baron Tollemache, and his wife, Lady Elizabeth Jane Manners.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Leone Sextus Tollemache was born on 1 January 1884 to Wilbraham Tollemache, 2nd Baron Tollemache, and Lady Elizabeth Jane Manners. He was educated at Eton College and later joined the British Army.
Military Career[edit | edit source]
Tollemache served in the British Army during World War I. He held the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards and saw action on the Western Front. Tollemache was known for his bravery and leadership on the battlefield.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Leone Sextus Tollemache never married and had no children. He was the 5th Baron Tollemache and upon his death on 3 January 1917, the title passed to his cousin, Lionel Tollemache.
Legacy[edit | edit source]
Leone Sextus Tollemache is remembered for his service to his country during World War I. His bravery and sacrifice are honored by his family and the people of Britain.
