List of Home Appliances

A home appliance, also known as a domestic appliance, is an electrical or mechanical machine that assists in household functions such as cooking, cleaning, and food preservation. Home appliances can be divided into three classifications, which include small appliances, major appliances, or white goods, and consumer electronics.

Small Appliances[edit | edit source]

Small appliances are portable or semi-portable machines, generally used on tabletops, countertops, or other platforms. These include devices such as toasters, microwave ovens, blenders, coffee makers, and food processors.

Major Appliances[edit | edit source]

Major appliances, also known as white goods, are large home appliances used for routine housekeeping tasks such as cooking, washing laundry, food preservation, and others. They are typically major household electrical appliances and are usually located in the kitchen, laundry room, or bathroom. These include appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers.

Consumer Electronics[edit | edit source]

Consumer electronics or home electronics are electronic equipment intended for everyday use, typically in private homes. These include devices like televisions, air conditioners, computers, and home theater systems.
