Military unit

The Lithuanian Special Operations Force (LITHSOF) (Template:Lang-lt) is a special forces unit of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. Established in 2002, LITHSOF is tasked with conducting a variety of special operations, including counter-terrorism, direct action, special reconnaissance, and unconventional warfare.

History

The Lithuanian Special Operations Force was officially formed in 2002, although its roots can be traced back to earlier special operations units within the Lithuanian military.
