Litsea cubeba
Litsea cubeba is a plant species in the family Lauraceae. It is also known as May Chang, Mountain Pepper, and Exotic Verbena. The plant is native to China, Indonesia, Taiwan and other parts of Southeast Asia.

Litsea cubeba is a small deciduous tree that grows up to 5-12 meters in height. The plant has a thin, white bark and bears small, white or pale yellow flowers. The fruits of the plant are small, round and have a lemon-like fragrance.

The plant is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine for its healing properties. The fruits of Litsea cubeba are used to produce an essential oil, known as May Chang oil. This oil is used in aromatherapy and is known for its strong antifungal and antimicrobial properties. It is also used in the perfume industry for its fresh, sweet, citrus-like fragrance.
