Ingredients[edit | edit source]

The ingredients of Lizano sauce include water, sugar, salt, onions, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, pepper, mustard, turmeric, and spices. The sauce is vegetarian and is often used in a variety of dishes, including gallo pinto and tamales.

Use[edit | edit source]

Lizano sauce is used in a variety of dishes in Costa Rican cuisine. It is often used as a condiment for gallo pinto, a traditional Costa Rican dish made with rice and beans. It is also used in the preparation of tamales, a type of Mesoamerican dish made of masa (a dough made from corn) that is filled with meats, cheeses, fruits, and other ingredients.

Availability[edit | edit source]

Lizano sauce is widely available in Costa Rica and can be found in many grocery stores and supermarkets. It is also available for purchase online and can be shipped internationally.
