London Borough of Lewisham is a London borough located in South London, England, forming part of the Inner London area. It was established in 1965 by the London Government Act 1963, which created the administrative boundaries for Greater London. Lewisham borders the London Borough of Greenwich to the east, the London Borough of Bromley to the south, the London Borough of Southwark to the west, and the River Thames to the north, across which lies the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
