History[edit | edit source]
The Los Angeles Angels were established as an expansion team in 1961. Originally named the Los Angeles Angels, the team has undergone several name changes, becoming the California Angels in 1965, the Anaheim Angels in 1997, and finally, in 2005, adopting the name Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, which was shortened back to Los Angeles Angels in 2016.

The pinnacle of the Angels' success came in 2002 when they won their first and only World Series title. The team has also won several division titles and has made numerous appearances in the postseason.
Rivalries[edit | edit source]
The Angels have developed rivalries with other teams in the AL West, particularly with the Texas Rangers and the Oakland Athletics. These rivalries are fueled by divisional competition and significant games or series that have determined playoff outcomes.
Community Involvement[edit | edit source]
The Angels are active in community service, running various programs and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children and families in their community. These include educational programs and health and wellness campaigns.
Current Roster[edit | edit source]
The team's roster changes regularly due to trades, injuries, and tactical adjustments. Current players can be found on the team's official website or sports news outlets.
Management[edit | edit source]
The Angels are owned by Arte Moreno, who purchased the team in 2003. The general manager and the manager handle the day-to-day operations and the strategic decisions regarding player signings and team tactics.
Future Prospects[edit | edit source]
The Los Angeles Angels continue to develop their farm system, scouting and signing young talents to build a competitive team for the future. They aim to blend experienced players with young prospects to maintain competitiveness in the league.
