Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (10 March 1776 – 19 July 1810) was a German princess who became Queen consort of Prussia as the wife of King Frederick William III of Prussia.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Louise was born on 10 March 1776 in Hanover, which was part of the Holy Roman Empire. She was the daughter of Charles II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Princess Friederike of Hesse-Darmstadt.
Marriage and Reign[edit | edit source]
Louise married Frederick William III of Prussia and became Queen consort of Prussia. During her time as queen, she was known for her intelligence, beauty, and compassion towards the people of Prussia.
Death[edit | edit source]
Louise passed away on 19 July 1810 in Hohenzieritz, Prussia.
