She was born on January 13, 1672, in Corneto-Tarquinia, Italy. Filippini founded the Maestre Pie Filippini, a religious congregation focused on teaching and caring for the less fortunate.

In 1707, she established the Maestre Pie Filippini congregation with the support of her spiritual advisor, Monsignor G.B. Pagani.
