Maesil

Maesil or Korean plum is a fruit native to East Asia, including Korea, Japan, and China. It is also known as Japanese apricot or Chinese plum. The scientific name for Maesil is Prunus mume.

Maesil is a small deciduous tree that grows up to 10 meters tall. The fruit is round and yellow, similar in appearance to a small apricot. It has a unique sour and sweet taste. The fruit, leaves, and seeds are used in various forms in traditional Korean cuisine and Korean traditional medicine.
